On August 1, 2022, Global Textile Solutions hosted a meeting of the Azerbaijani delegation headed by the Minister of Economy of Azerbaijan, Mr. Mikayil Jabbarov, with the management of Uztekstilprom.
The Chairman of the Association, Mr.Ilkhom Khaydarov, gave a tour around the mill, explained the concept of the textile cluster and introduced the development strategy of the textile industry in Uzbekistan for the coming years. Muzaffar Razakov, head of the Global Textile group of companies, made a presentation on the activities of the textile complex and presented a new national premium brand R-Line.
During the meeting, the parties discussed opportunities for cooperation in the cotton-textile sector and the possibility of creating joint textile enterprises on the basis of the FEZ in Azerbaijan.
M. Jabbarov highly appreciated the achievements and reforms in the textile industry. “We definitely have identified opportunities for joint cooperation. As a result of the agreements reached, we expect in the near future both a return visit of our Uzbek colleagues and further direct contacts between the Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan textile enterprises” the minister said.
At the end of the visit, the parties exchanged memorable souvenirs.
